As the Chinese saying goes,“Beinga lonely stranger in a foreignland,I doubly pine for kinsfolk on a holiday.”Today is the traditional Chong Yang Festival, or the Double Ninth Festival in China. As a day for family reunion, respect the elders and commemorate the ancestors, the university is holding an activity regarding to this festival. The details are as follows:
1.It is recommended that every international student make a phone call or video call today with their distant family membersin their hometown, especially the grandparents and parents, to send them warm blessings and express their deep longing and gratitude.
2.Write good wishes to your family in Chinese or English within 50 words.
3.Provide a photo of the video call for today or a photo taking together with the elderly family members before.
Students also can send their blessings words and photos to the email at luqi1307@163.combefore 20pm on Oct. 24, 2023. By then, the university will upload parts of the collected excellent photos and words to the official accounts for display. Meanwhile, an honor certificate will be provided as well.
